Tags and Permits

Hunting permits and/or tags in Arizona are issued through a computerized, random drawing. Please visit Arizona Game and Fish for the latest updates on regulations. Big game tags not issued through the drawing process are non-permit tags. Non-permit tags may be purchased directly from the Game and Fish Department offices or through license dealers. Hunting opportunities are limited so make your plans early. D.C. Outfitters invites you to contact us with any questions about permit applications, game unit preference, and for assistance completing applications.

Booking Information

A deposit of 50 percent will be required to reserve your hunt date, with the final payment due prior to the hunt. Payment should be made by certified bank check, traveler’s check, or money order. Deposits are nonrefundable, unless the space can be rebooked. Upon receiving your deposit, we will provide you with a receipt, a contract, and a suggested equipment list. All hunts include dependable transportation to hunting area, lodging at campsite, meals, caping and skinning of game, and transportation of game to a meat processing plant. Guns and ammo, hunting licenses and tags, sleeping bag and personal items are not included. Taxidermy and meat processing costs are also not included.

All hunts are five day hunts except for antelope (which is a four day season) and October White Tail and Mule deer (which is a four day season).

Payment

  • 50% down payment
  • Payment in full before departure
  • Money is non-refundable. If you are not able to arrive prior to the hunt, you can transfer the deposit to another hunt. If there is an increase in the future hunt, you will be responsible for the difference.

Recommendations

  • In order to get the most enjoyment from your hunting opportunities, we stress the importance of physical conditioning. The terrain that you will be hunting in is often rough and unforgiving, so be as fit as possible.
  • Quality optics are recommended. Our “spot and stalk” technique requires long hours of glassing to locate game.
  • Rifles should be a flat shooting caliber, properly sighted and capable of shooting both close and long range shots.
  • Comfortable and quiet boots for medium to rough terrain.
  • Weather in Arizona at this time of year is difficult to predict. Be prepared with clothing for both warm and cold weather (25 to 80 degrees). Bring a lightweight, quality rain suit.

Applications

We, at DC Outfitters, will help you with your applications, which are due in June. Applications for javelina are due in October. The units we apply for are units we know, not units with high draw rates just so we can have hunters. If we feel we cannot meet your goals, we will refer you to other guides who may be able to help you with your Arizona Experience. Maximum hunters per hunt are four unless otherwise requested.
